UNSAFE ROOF HALTS FIRE INVESTIGATION
It may be sometime before fire investigators will be able to enter a fire ravaged property in Belmont, due to an unsafe roof.
Crews were called to the unoccupied Walter Street house at about 4am, following reports of flames.
It took NSW Fire and Rescue crews more than an hour to extinguish the blaze.
Next-door neighbours used garden hoses to wet down their houses in a bid to stop flames from spreading.
The house has been unoccupied for some time and the cause of the fire isn’t known.
