A women’s nines tackle competition could be introduced into next year’s Group Three rugby league season.
The proposal would see the nines start in week eight of the campaign.
Under the plan the matches would be 10 minutes each way, played after the under 18s.
Group Three was also the first to introduce league tag into the competition, starting in 2009.
