The future of the former Newcastle Bowling Club site and the old post office remains unclear, with the Baird Government placing the Awabakal Land Council into administration today, following an investigation.
The board will be replaced by an administrator, who’ll manage the group’s assets for the next six months.
The land council took control of the post office building almost two years ago… its land claim on the bowling club site is yet to be determined.
