NORTHERN BASIN RESIDENTS HAVE ANXIOUS WAIT AHEAD

Residents in the North West will have to wait at least another month to find out their share of the Northern Basin water allocations.

The Murray Darling Basin Authority has pushed back the release of the Northern Basin Report, with further research to be conducted before the report is complete.

The authority says it’s taking all social, economic and environmental outcomes into consideration for the region as a whole.

The report will outline the recommended water allocations in a effort to improve the health of the river.
