Police are investigating after two separate fires destroyed property on the Gold Coast last night.
Around 10pm, emergency services responded to calls of a building fire on Currumburra Road in Ashmore. On arrival, they found the property well alight.
The building sustained extensive damage. Several adjoining businesses also were also damaged. No one was injured in the fire.
Meanwhile in the second unrelated incident, at around 10:30pm police were notified of a second fire at the Broadbeach Road unit complex in Nerang.
A unit was destroyed by the blaze, and a neighbouring property was also damaged.
The unit was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.
Crime scenes have been established at both properties, and investigations continue.
