RANDOM BREATH TEST TURNS UP A KILO OF COCAINE IN COFFS HARBOUR

A kilo of cocaine worth $220,000 has allegedly been seized during a random breath test on the mid north coast.
Just before 9:30pm on Thursday, police were travelling along the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour, when they stopped the driver of a Toyota Kluger for a random breath test.
After speaking to the 30-year-old driver, officers conducted a search of the vehicle.
It’s alleged they found 1kg of cocaine, with an estimated potential street value of $220,000.
The man was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail and will appear in local court today.
