Cruise ship season in Newcastle is officially underway with the arrival of luxury liner Silver Whisper.
The five star ship glided into the harbour this afternoon for an 11-hour stopover.
Over the next 18 months, the city will welcome 18 cruise ships, worth an estimated $26-million to the Hunter’s economy.
