INCREASED WOMENS PARTICIPATION ACKNOWLEDGED BY MEN OF LEAGUE

The Men of League has started a new campaign, hoping to change the perception they only look after former male players.
Tamworth’s branch has been raising money, to help local families in need.
“Another family we found that the husband and wife both had cancer, so we’ve given them $500 worth of food vouchers.”
It’s also increasing it’s efforts to assist women involved in the sport.
Greater Northern Tigers League Tag captain Kim Resch is impressed with how far rugby league has come in the last 12 months, in terms of recognising female contribution.
“It’s great to know that, within the community, that there’s such great support, and a lot of it happens behind the scenes.”
