A pilot has avoided disaster, after their light plane crashed into a field near South Hampton Road during take-off at the South Grafton Aerodrome.
Emergency services were called just before two this afternoon, where they found the 60-year-old male pilot with minor injuries.
His female passenger was unhurt.
