4000 homes throughout the Lower Richmond region were without power today, as Essential Energy crews completed a major network upgrade.
Around 100 technicians spent the day refurbishing the Lismore to Woodburn high voltage line.
“We’re replacing poles… Insulators and some conductor connections.”
“The more maintenance we can do on our lines, the more reliable our lines become and obviously the lights stay on for our customers.”
Generators were brought in to provide power to essential services and businesses during the disruption.
