POLICE SEARCH FOR ROCK THROWING OFFENDERS
Police are appealing to the public to find the people responsible for throwing rocks at a truck in Moree at the weekend.
Just after 4am on Saturday morning a 46-year-old was driving a Mack prime mover south on the Newell Highway Moree bypass, near Frome Street, when several rocks struck the cab.
One of the rocks smashed the driver’s side of the windscreen and struck him in the forehead.
Police arrived on the scene a short time later but were unable to find any persons of interest.
The driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Moree Hospital where he received several stitches to his forehead before being released.
Police would like to speak with three males who may be able to assist with inquiries.
