MECHANICAL PROBLEMS END RUSSELL’S BATHURST HOPES

In the Bathurst 1000, and there was disappointment for Newcastle’s Aaren Russell.

Making his second appearance at Mount Panorama in a Supercar, Russell and his teammate Andre Heimgartner had hopes of a top 10 finish.

Driving second, Aaren climbed as high as 18th, while Andre edged into 16th, but mechanical problems on lap 114 ended their afternoon.
