CALLS FOR HOUSING CONTRACTS TO STAY IN COMMUNITY HANDS

Labor MP Sonia Hornery has called on the Baird Government to ensure private companies don’t put in for social housing management contracts in the Hunter.
The government will relinquish control of 18,000 properties statewide early next year.
The Family and Community Services Minister told NBN News today there’ll be no private providers, promising the contracts will go to the community housing sector.
