HUNTER VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARDED

A University of Newcastle speech pathology student has been named Hunter Volunteer of the Year.
Claire Mudford spends 10 hours a week working for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, specialising in hydrotherapy.
“I just want to help people. I just want to put the time in that others have put into me, I want to give back because I believe what you put in, you will get back eventually,” she said.
Newcastle Robo-Gals were awarded team of the year, for increasing female participation in engineering and technology.
