A 20-year-old man has been killed in a truck and car collision near Inverell this morning.
Around 7am emergency services were called to the Gwydir Highway five-kilometres west of Inverell.
“A fully laden b-double Kenworth prime mover loaded with cattle was heading west, ah sorry east, and they’ve had a head on collision from appearances.”
The truck driver escaped without injury.
Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
