- Much loved former Australian Test cricketer, Channel 9 commentator, author and all-round good guy – Max Walker – has died aged just 68. Walker made his Test debut in 1973, he played 17 one-day internationals – his handlebar moustache and knock-about style making him a fan favourite.
- The son of former AFL Coach Phil Walsh has been found NOT guilty of murdering his father. A judge finding CY Walsh was mentally incompetent at the time of the 2015 incident inside the family’s Adelaide home.
- An emergency meeting is being held in Ballina, to implement a plan to address the area’s shark attacks. 17-year-old Cooper Allen was mauled while surfing at Lighthouse Beach earlier this week.
- A fire fighter has died in New York after a house exploded. Officers were called to the property in the Bronx, to investigate reports of a gas leak.
- And the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have attended a historical reconciliation ceremony, as they continue their tour of Canada.
