WANTED MAN ARRESTED IN COFFS HARBOUR

Coffs Harbour Police have arrested a man, wanted in relation to the death of a 38-year-old man on the Gold Coast last week.

Detectives are expected to apply for the 26-year-old to be extradited back to Queensland this afternoon, after he was arrested in a carpark on the Pacific Highway near Arthur Street, at around 5 o’clock on Sunday afternoon.

It follows the suspicious death of a Gold Coast man, who was found suffering significant injuries inside a house on Markwell Avenue at Surfers Paradise on May 10.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, with the homicide squad called in to investigate his death.
