FORMER MARIST BROTHER JAILED

A former Marist Brother has been sentenced to at least three years jail, for indecently assaulting young boys at a Newcastle school four decades ago.

Darcy John O’Sullivan, also known as Brother Dominic, was a teacher at Marist Brothers in Hamilton in the 1970s.

He was also the principal of a Catholic school in Casino in the 1980s.

Today, O’Sullivan was sentenced to six years jail, with a non-parole period of three years, after pleading guilty to a string of indecent assault charges earlier this year.
