MARSUPIAL PARK HATCHES SURPRISE
For the first time in five years, Tamworth’s Marsupial Park has welcomed the arrival of two baby emus.
The pair has caused quite a stir for the park, arriving just in time for the school holidays.
The chicks were among 10 eggs laid, all sitting under a male emu for around 60-days.
It’s hoped they’ll be joined by at least four more babies expected to hatch from another nest.
The park is running a competition to name the striped youngsters.
