6 MILLION REASONS TO LOVE SOLAR

The state’s largest wind farm near Glen Innes will now boast a neighbouring solar farm, thanks to a $6-million injection of federal funding.

The grant will help start the construction phase of Goldwind’s $45-million solar scheme, to kick of early 20-17.

Once completed, it’s thought the farm will supply enough energy to power more than 7,000 homes, while Goldwind’s $50-million wind farm is expected to generate enough power for 75,000 homes.
