An early morning fire has torn through Taree’s Destiny Church, causing extensive damage.
A driver travelling on High Street spotted the flames around 1:30 am.
It took hold quickly, with firefighters unable to save much of the building’s interior.
This morning’s service was cancelled, with police establishing a crime scene at the Church.
It is being treated as suspicious, and anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
