TWO CHARGED WITH THEFT OF CAR CRASH VICTIM’S BAG
A man in his 40s has faced court on charges of allegedly stealing the handbag of a car crash victim, as she lay critically injured on the Central Coast.
62-year-old Kay Shaylor later died, and police arrested the man and a woman after being alerted to several transactions on the bank accounts of the aged care nurse.
“When I look at the response from the Central Coast community on social media today, I think others have adequately described what they see. They are usually words like low life and describing it as one of the lowest crimes they’ve ever seen and I can do nothing but agree with those words,” said Superintendent Danny Sullivan from Brisbane Water Police.
The man was refused bail, while the woman is on bail and will front court later this month.
