Police have established a crime scene at a beach in Tuncurry, after human remains were found.
They were discovered in scrub along Nine Mile Beach at around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.
Police haven’t confirmed whether the remains belong to a male or female, but they believe they’ve been at the location for some time.
They’re now working to identify the person.
