A 69-year-old greyhound worker has been charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm in the Hunter.
It follows information which was referred to police relating to the deaths of several greyhounds at Keinbah.
It’s alleged the Abermain man possessed a .22 calibre rifle between 2010 and 2013.
Police believe the firearm has since been destroyed.
He’s due to face Cessnock Local Court on October 26.
