Walcha Council will enjoy a wave of fresh faces in the wake of the Local Government Elections.
Both Mayor Janelle Archdale and Deputy Mayor Scott Schmutter chose not to throw their hats back into the ring, but as counting draws to an end some clear favourites are taking shape.
Rachael Wellings from Ward A is currently holding 37.5 per cent of the vote, while Eric Noakes has 169 of the votes in Ward B, taking 36.34 per cent of the formal polling.
In Ward C Jennifer Kealey is charging ahead, with 48.48 per cent of the residents choice, while Kevin Ferrier boasts 31 per cent of the vote in Ward D.
