Almost $20,000 in cash and a quantity of illegal drugs have been seized on the state’s mid north coast after hotel staff stumbled on some of the items in one of their rooms.
Around 11:20am yesterday, police were called to a hotel on Hay Street in Port Macquarie, after staff allegedly located what they believed to be drugs in one of the rooms.
On their arrival, police allegedly seized drugs believed to be ice, cannabis and ecstasy, as well as more than $18,000 cash.
A short time later, a 42-year-old Victorian man was arrested. He was later charged with supplying a prohibited drug, four counts of possessing a prohibited drug, and goods in custody.
