PLATEAU LEGAL CHALLENGE WITHDRAWN

Rezoning atop the North Lismore Plateau will proceed as planned, after a Bundjalung aboriginal elder withdrew his legal appeal.

Lismore Council has welcomed the move, and says it now expects residential subdivision plans to be lodged within weeks.

Once developed, the area will be home to around 3,500 people.
