COMMUNITY TO RALLY BEHIND CARRIE’S PLACE

For 40 years, Carrie’s Place at Maitland has been helping victims of domestic violence, but tonight the community is returning the favour.

A special event at the Town Hall is aiming to raise much-needed funds to help refurbish or rebuild its rundown Resource Centre.

25 people work at the facility, providing a range of support services.

Around 300 guests are expected to attend the fundraiser.
