TAREE’S SPRING ORCHID SHOW A SUCCESS

Despite unseasonal weather this year, the entries for Manning River Orchid Society’s Annual Spring Show have remained impressive.

Taree’s Mal Myers took out the grand champion title against more than 130 plants, with his slipper orchid.

“It’s a Villosum is the name of it, it’s a species plant originally jungle collected quite a few years ago, Mal’s probably the top grower in the district for those types and done a really good job of it.”

The show is in its 57th year- attracting hundreds of people over the 2-day display.
