Ballina police have allegedly come under attack, while arresting a person wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 24-year-old man escaped police custody at a Biala Place home, when a group of people allegedly began throwing bottles and a lawn mower at police.
Three officers received injuries, including bite marks.
The man was arrested this morning.
Investigations into the assaults are continuing.
