A man, believed to have been armed with a machete, has been arrested after a stand-off with Gold Coast Police that lasted nearly two hours.
Around 2:20am, police cordoned off a Surfers Paradise block, after a man in an apartment on Ferry Avenue made threats.
The man was taken into custody just before 4am.
An investigation into the incident is now underway.
