Nursing staff and senior health district officials have resolved their differences, ahead of Lismore Base Hospital’s redeveloped emergency department opening tomorrow.
Concerns about staffing levels in the much larger ward, had been a source of tension in recent weeks.
“Their major concern was night duty, so we have supplemented the night duty staffing and negotiated with them as late as today, some revisions around that and they’ve supported what we’ve proposed.”
