On the satellite a mass of moisture continues to stream in from Western Australia. This is the first wave of an incredible early spring weather system that will produce large amounts of rain for inland Australia.
The first low will be forced away to the south and the associated front will sweep across the east weakening as is passes over the NBN broadcast region. The birth of the second and more impressive low will develop over WA. This will draw large amounts of moisture from the tropics producing big inland rain totals. The whole system should be cleared by Saturday evening.
