MAN CHARGED OVER TWO COFFS HARBOUR ARMED ROBBERIES

A man is due to face court today, after two armed robberies in Coffs Harbour.
About 4.40pm Thursday July 5, a man, armed with a meat cleaver, allegedly entered a store in Park Avenue and threatened an employee, before stealing cash and fleeing on foot.
Then around 7.40am on Monday July 9, a 20-year-old woman was approached by a man, when he allegedly hit her in the face and threatened her with a screwdriver, before leaving the scene with her bag.
The woman wasn’t injured.
Following inquiries, a 34-year-old man was arrested on Albany Street, Coffs Harbour, yesterday morning.
He was charged with two counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon.
