10-MAN JETS HOLD ON TO BEAT WELLINGTON

The Newcastle Jets have ended their goal drought in emphatic fashion, beating Wellington 3-1 at Hunter Stadium.
The drought ended in the 7th minute, with Milos Trifunovic making no mistake from the spot.
It got the ball rolling – Ryan Kitto doubling the home side’s lead 20 minutes later with his first A-League goal.
David Carney made it three just a few minutes after Ben Kantarovski was sent off for a second yellow card.
The visiting Phoenix managed to pull one goal back but Newcastle held on for its first win since October 2015.
