North Coast bowlers are proving they’ve got clout at this year’s Summerland pairs competition at Ballina.
Yamba’s Jamie Eichorn (I – CORN) and Lennox Head’s Rhys Wilson bowled themselves into today’s semi finals against interstate rivals, Sean Baker and David Wilcox.
But the pair missed out on a finals run by eight points.
Father and son duo Craig and Aaron Teyes from Ballina did a little better , rolling themselves into the finals against fellow north coasters Neil Burgess and Frank Vogel, 20 points to 12.
Bowling on the green today was a touch easier than yesterday thanks to a slight break in the windy conditions.
“Winds eased but still created a challenge, but top bowlers can handle the conditions.”
