WEATHER: UNSEASONAL AUGUST RAIN
PHOTO: Jenny Hill captured a very full APSLEY FALLS AT WALCHA.
Large rain totals have been accumulated across the NE corner of NSW of up to 100mm. Heavy August rain is quite rare so totals for many areas across northern NSW is now above average. Tomorrow a low will form and move away from the coast quickly. Winds will increase for the Hunter and Macquarie waters while seas and swell rise. The rain will ease as the system moves east but it is going to be very cold as a blast of chilly polar air gets propelled north towards the QLD border.
