A spike in presentations to Gosford Hospital’s Emergency Department has wreaked havoc on local ambulance services.
Yesterday, a backlog of 11 ambulances saw paramedics forced to wait up to five hours before they could hand over patients for treatment.
It’s prompted a call by the Paramedics Association for a review into staff numbers.
