NEW BRIDGE AT MACKSVILLE TO BE COMPLETE BY DECEMEBR

Work on the new river crossing at Macksville, which is part of the Pacific Highway upgrade, is now 60 per cent complete.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the remaining 84 girders for the new bridge are expected to be installed by December.

The new crossing will be 850 metres long with a navigation clearance height of 11 metres.

The $860-million Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads project includes 15 new bridges.
