POLICE APPEAL FOR VISION OF MAN BITING OFF-DUTY COP’S EAR

Police are appealing for witnesses and mobile phone footage, after a security guard and an off-duty officer were assaulted at a pub in Lismore last week.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a 40-year-old man allegedly punched the security guard in the mouth, before an off-duty officer intervened.
The man allegedly held the officer in a head-lock and bit his ear.
“We’re seeking anyone who may have mobile phone or other footage of that incident to please contact Lismore detectives or Crime Stoppers we’d like to see that footage and hear from those people.”
The policeman underwent surgery and is recovering.
While his alleged attacker has been released on bail.
