The region’s vignerons have been praised for making the most of a challenging vintage, following this year’s Hunter Valley Wine Show.
In total, 59 gold, 108 silver and 208 bronze medals were awarded. Chief judge, PJ Charteris says he was impressed by the quality of wines, considering the season was less than ideal.
Judging took place over several days at Singleton, with a guest appearance from international judge Matt Walls.
