UNITS DAMAGED IN EARLY MORNING FIRE

A candle is believed to have caused a fire, which ripped through a block of units at The Entrance early this morning.

Just before 2.30am, crews were called to Lakeside Parade to find the two-storey building alight.

Three units suffered severe damage, but thankfully, all residents were evacuated safely and without injury.

Police say one of the residents fell asleep after lighting the candle and was woken by their dog.
