The mercury has been on the rise and will continue, before peaking at the end of the week, ahead of a cold blast on the weekend.
The cold air will bring with it some rain, mostly falling on the western side of the divide.
It may fall as snow on the higher peaks of the Barrington Tops.
There is another stronger cold front after it, so it looks like it will be a cold end to winter.
