GREYHOUND REPORT CHALLENGED IN COURT
The greyhound report, which led to the Baird Government’s ban on the racing industry, has been challenged in the NSW Supreme Court.
A judge this morning heard the report contains many statistical errors.
The NSW Greyhound Breeder Owners and Trainers Association is seeking a court declaration to declare the government’s June 16 inquiry report invalid.
The group also provided four guarantees to the Premier including; management of greyhounds for their total life cycle, a controlled breeding of 2000 greyhounds a year and zero tolerance for animal cruelty punishable by a lifetime ban.
