WET WEATHER INTERRUPTS RE-DEDICATION

Wind and rain forced veterans to take cover, during Byron Bay RSL’s cenotaph re-dedication.
Thankfully the skies later cleared, allowing the ceremony to continue.
“We wanted to make it an open memorial, so that you could walk around it and walk through it. Not have it barriered off.”
The restoration work took around three months to complete and was jointly funded by the RSL, Commonwealth and local community.
