WESTS PUT AN END TO KURRI’S WINNING STREAK

In Newcastle rugby league, Lakes remain in fourth spot following a 12-point victory over Central, while Wests put an end to Kurri’s five-game winning streak.
The Rosellas led by 16 at halftime, and Chris Knight produced a solo effort to increase that advantage after the break.
The Bulldogs needed a win to stay in touch with the top five… a long-range try to Joel Harrison gave them some hope.
But Wests were never really in trouble… Joel Brown set up Peter Mannion to restore order.
Brown was involved again as the Rosellas steamrolled their way to victory.
Just for good measure, Simon Williams added a late try of his own, to ensure a 40-point thrashing.
