A man is facing numerous firearms charges after police searched a house at Medowie near Newcastle.
Police searched the 35-year-old man’s home late on Friday and allegedly found a shortened rifle, a shotgun, a small quantity of crystal meth, a replica handgun and a butterfly knife.
He was taken to Raymond Terrace police station where he was charged.
Police say the man was the subject of a Firearms Prohibition Order.
