Australian Surf Festival festivities got underway in Coffs Harbour Friday afternoon.
The carnival will be held until the 15th of August, showcasing some of the nation’s best surfers and body boarders.
Byron Bay’s Danny Wills will take part in the Surfmasters Titles, which commence tomorrow and wrap up on the third of August.
Wills was ranked world number 3 in 1998, winning back-to-back contests in Japan, before losing out to 11 time world champion Kelly Slater.
