COULD NEWCASTLE BE THE NEXT HOME OF THE DRIVERLESS CAR?

Labor says New South Wales risks missing out on billions of dollars of investment from the driverless car industry.
Opposition Leader Luke Foley hit Newcastle today, to push for testing of autonomous vehicle technology in the Hunter.
“South Australia is sending out all the right investment signals right now to the industry. Set-up in South Australia, ‘cos South Australia wants this industry. What I’m saying is NSW wants this industry and the Hunter wants this industry.”
Labor plans to introduce legislation to legalise driverless car trials, before the next state election.
