MAN DOUSED WITH PETROL IN TERRIFYING ARMED ROBBERY

A man has survived a terrifying armed hold up on the Central Coast, where he was doused with petrol and threatened with a knife.

The Shelley Beach Golf Club employee was walking to his car on Shelley Beach Road at about 10.30pm, when he was approached by another man.

The offender then grabbed the man and threatened him with a knife before forcing him back inside the club.

Once inside the offender doused the man in petrol and threatened to set him alight if he did not hand over cash.

The offender then fled the scene with cash, after pouring more petrol on the employee.

The offender is described as being about 178cm tall, with a large build.

He was last seen wearing long black pants and a dark hooded top.
